What IS A Temperate Deciduous Forest?

A temperte decisduous forest is one of the many types of biomes found in the biosphere on Earth. This particular biome has four different seasons; fall, winter, spring, and summer. Everything within this ecosystem, or biome, changes and adapts to the four seasons. Each season has different features to it. For example, winter has snow and cold temperatures. In this season, the trees are bare, and many animals hibernate or migrate. Everything in a temperate deciduous forest connects as well. If the trees didn't lose their leaves by winter and not grow them back until mid-spring, then the shrubs found on the forest floor would not be able to grow the same way. Everything works together in its own way (New Hampshire Public Television, 2, 3, 4, 5).
